EWR to Meet with Residents

ree

It was announced today 22nd March that EWR will be holding 30 minute 'surgery style' appointments with residents directly effected during the week of 25th April. Those who's homes are currently earmarked for demolition or partial CPO will be able to book an in person or virtual meeting.

There will be separate 'drop-in' meetings for 'non affected' residents of the Poets and Ashburnham Road areas as well as. a drop in meeting for the Bedford Residents.

Here is a summary of the announcement published in the Bedford Independent. It is to be noted that the first residents of Poets heard was this publication. No communication of the meeting on Friday 18th March between EWR, Harpur and Castle Councillors and Bedford MP Mohammad Yasin was made. EWR have also failed to inform residents directly, we assume there is a letter in the post.

Harpur Councillors Colleen Atkins and Louise Jackson released a statement confirming the plans for meetings announced by EWR and reconfirming their continued objection to the demolition of homes in the Poets area.
