Peaceful Protest in Bedford

Protect Poets will be joining with BFARe at a peaceful public demonstration in Harpur Square, Harpur Street, Bedford on Saturday 25th March 2022.

The demonstration is set to coincide with the Mayor's Green Event being held over the weekend of 25th and 26th March.

The aim is to raise awareness among Bedford residents of the true environmental impact of delivering, and running this new route through the Borough, not just on the direct line of the rail but across all areas of the towns infrastructure and green spaces.

The proposed route will see up to 55 homes demolished. 55 homes that are within easy walking distance of the mainline station, town, shops, schools and recreation spaces meaning they are ideally situated to enable life without a reliance on cars.
